Outlook 2003 autocomplete email addesses / Cached email addresses / Nicknames doesn't work after importing moving users PST file

The nicknames/cached email addresses are kept in a file with the extension NK2. With Outlook closed, search for *.NK2 on the old computer or user profile. Copy the NK2 file to the same location on the new computer or new user profile.

The .NK2 file should be located in the

C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook folder. Directory

Since it is a hidden file, you may need to unhide it. Go to any folder and select Tools > Folders Options > View. Check "Show hidden files and folders". Click OK.

If the Outlook user profile name is different on the computer where you are moving the .nk2 file to, you must rename the file with the same Outlook user profile name after you copy it to the correct folder. For example, if you move mdann.nk2 from the original computer with an Outlook user profile name of mdann, and you copy the mdann.nk2 file to the new computer, you must rename it with the Outlook profile name being used on the new computer.
