Change
the Windows XP Logon Prompt Message
How about
jazzing up that Windows XP Logon Prompt message? Right now, it probably
says "Enter a user name and password that is valid for this system".
You can do better than that! You just need to do a minor Registry Edit.
- Click
Start and click the Run command.
- Type Regedit
in the Open text box and click OK
- Navigate
to the following Registry key:
HKEY LOCAL MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\ CurrentVersion\Winlogon
- Click
the Edit menu, point to New and click on String Value.
- Rename
the value to LogonPrompt and double click on it.
- In the
Edit String dialog box, type in your customer message in the Value data
text box. Click OK.
- Close
the Registry Editor and restart the computer.
